Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-28

Jobician and ResumeGood are operated by Latent Software LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, at 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA (“the Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”). “You” means the person or organisation using any of them.

This document is governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA. Disputes are resolved as this document provides, with Sheridan County, Wyoming as the seat and, for any matter this document sends to a court, the exclusive venue, and you consent to jurisdiction there.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service (the "Terms") and applies to everything you do with the Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms. The short version: the Service exists to present your real experience as well as it can be presented. Use it honestly, on your own behalf, without abusing the machinery.

1. BE WHO YOU SAY YOU ARE

You represent and warrant that you will NOT use the Service to:

(a) Fabricate credentials — degrees you don't hold, employers you never worked for, titles you never had, certifications you never earned, or dates that didn't happen;

(b) Invent or impersonate people — create or maintain a resume, profile or application for a fictitious person, or impersonate a real one;

(c) Launder invention as fact — misrepresent AI-generated claims as your own record. The tools are built to rephrase and reorganize what is true about you, not to invent a better past.

Working on someone else's resume is permitted when they asked you to — a friend, a family member, a client who gave you their material for that purpose. It is not permitted without their knowledge.

2. IMPORT ONLY WHAT YOU'RE ENTITLED TO

(a) Upload only files you have the right to use;

(b) A LinkedIn profile URL you submit for import must be your own profile, or one whose owner asked you to import it;

(c) Do not put other people's personal information into the Service — references' contact details are fine; a stranger's identity is not. Contact information a feature asks you to provide (for example, your own exported connections) must be yours to provide.

3. DON'T ABUSE THE MACHINERY

You further represent and warrant that you will NOT:

(a) Access the Service with scripts, bots or bulk automation except through interfaces we provide for the purpose, evade its bot protection, or scrape its pages, templates or generated content;

(b) Circumvent, or attempt to circumvent, credit metering, plan limits, seat limits, rate limits or the free tier — including by creating multiple accounts or organizations for that purpose;

(c) Share account credentials or programmatic keys, or use another person's;

(d) Probe, overload, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its infrastructure or other people's accounts or Content;

(e) Upload malware or anything designed to harm the Service or its users;

(f) Resell, sublicense, white-label or wrap the Service or its Output as your own competing product. (Using your own resumes, letters and answers anywhere you like — including sending them to employers — is the whole point, and is not what this line is about.)

4. DON'T USE IT FOR HARM

You may not use the Service, or content generated with it, for anything unlawful, or to further fraud, phishing, identity theft, harassment or discrimination. Anything you choose to publish through the Service (for example, a hosted public profile) must also comply with Sections 1 and 2 and must not contain content that is unlawful, infringing, or targets another person.

If the Service offers agent features that take Actions on your behalf (Terms, Section 7), you may use them only for genuine applications and correspondence on your own behalf (or an authorized principal's, per Section 1), for postings you actually intend, at volumes consistent with a real, reviewed job search — not as a spam cannon — and in compliance with the rules of the platforms the Actions touch.

If the Service offers email features (Terms, Section 7.4): use a Service-provided address only for job-search correspondence — not as a general mailbox, a spam trap, a signup sink, or for anything unlawful — and connect only email accounts you are entitled to connect. An employer's inbox, or anyone else's, without authority, is a violation.

If the Service offers a browser extension (Terms, Section 7.5): run it only in your own browser and your own accounts, only on genuine applications per this Section, and knowing that the rules of the sites you run it on are yours to keep. Do not repackage it, tamper with it, or use it to extract data from sites at scale.

5. ENFORCEMENT

We may remove or unpublish content, withhold generated output, decline or revoke verification artifacts, and suspend or close accounts that violate this AUP — at our sole discretion, with or without prior notice where the situation requires it. Where we reasonably can, we will say why. Creating new accounts or organizations to evade a suspension, closure or limit is itself a violation. We have no obligation to monitor content, and this AUP creates no duty for us to detect, prevent or remedy violations; it defines what you agreed not to do, and we rely on your agreement. Not enforcing this AUP against one violation is not a waiver of it against any other. Fees paid for an account closed for violating this AUP are not refunded (Terms, Section 6.5).

6. REPORTING VIOLATIONS

If you believe someone is misusing the Service — for example, a resume or public page impersonating you, or content that infringes your rights — write to the support address below with enough detail for us to find it (a link or an identifier, and what makes it yours), and we will look into it. If we remove something you posted in response to such a report and you believe the report was mistaken, write to the same address and say why.

7. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this AUP as the product and the ways people misuse products evolve. The date at the top of this page is when it last changed; material changes are announced the same way as changes to the Terms.
